There are a lot of reasons that a business owner or aspiring entrepreneur may want to come up with an accurate dollar figure of what a business is worth:
– They’re looking to purchase an existing business and don’t want to overpay.
– They’re looking to sell their business and don’t want to leave money on the table or ask for too much.
– They want to bring on a new business partner or LLC member and need to determine how much that person’s share would be worth.
– They need it for insurance purposes, to not shortchange one of their beneficiaries in their last will and testament, or a whole host of other reasons
And sometimes, they just want to know–it’s as simple as that.
In this seminar, we’ll teach you the most common ways (from the simple to the complex) to come up with what a value for a business. Bring your prior years financial statements or tax returns for some on-the-spot calculations.
Former business broker and current SBDC business coach, Rich Whalen, will be leading this seminar.
